celebrity spotlight

Why is the spotlight always on celebrities? People are so wrapped up in what's going on in the lives of celebiritise they lose focus on what's happening in the world and affecting our everyday lives. I bet that if someone were asked about Britney Spears' current situation they would be able to give a whole speech on how she can't see her kids without someone watching her every move. When asked about a serious issue that happened in their own neighborhood within the past week nobody would be able to give a complete sentence. If you ask me, this is absolutely ridiculous. People are so wrapped up in the celebrity lifestyle that they lose focus on whats really important.

a chance to sit

who would have thought working in a shoe store could be so tiring? going to work, grabbing shoes and giving them to a customer.. no big deal, right? wrong. standing for over 6 hours straight was NOT part of what i thought i would be doing. despite standing for so long there's always the occasional annoying customer. you know, the one who tries on six pairs of shoes just to not buy any in the end. and then theres the one who's so ignorant you're almost at the point where you want to hit them over the head with the box. on the plus side theres always the joy of making fun of the mom who dresses like she's still a teenager.. wearing something a teenager today wouldnt wear.. cant wait to go back and do it all over again!

from bad to worse

reality tv has gone from bad to worse with the sequel to I Love New York. The first season was just pure comedy in itself. a bunch of guys fighting for the "love" of a self-centered woman who was in love with Flavor Flav. The end of the first season resulted in the man she chose leaving her because her pettiness lead her to insult his mother and he had enough dignity to not stand for it. This season incorporates "moms picks" in which she chose 5 men who could provide for a good life for New York, a midget, and a man who can barely speak without stuttering every time he speaks. Tailor Made, one of moms picks, is the only real entertainment i can find in this season. he seems to be willing to do anything and stupid enough to stir up problems in the house.. i cant wait to see what he does next week. as stupid as i may find this show, i will always go back for more and watch the next week.. idiocy has its effect on me that i just love to watch

cliffhanger

cliffhanger - A melodramatic serial in which each episode ends in suspense. finally desperate housewives has had a decent show ending with not one, but two great cliffhangers. first carlos gets a call from the man he has paid off to get edy out of his life and we see a woman coming out of an accountants office with his file. the second is catherine, the new neighbor in her daughters old room pulling up a rug and crying when she sees the piece of wood missing from the floor. WHAT are these all about? i have been trying to figure out carlos' situation for the past two weeks and im dying to know all about catherine and dylan and what happened when dylan was younger. why doesnt she know anything about her childhood? why does catherine refuse to tell her??

A memoir is a reflection of past events that has happened in the writers life. A memoir is used to highlight important aspects of a writers life. Memoirs usually focus on a brief period of time in life. It includes a narrative structure which includes many elements of storytelling such as setting, plot development, imagery, conflict, characterization, foreshadowing and flashback, and irony and symbolism. Memoirs are usually more emotional than autobiographies or other works of literature.

anger

anger is one of the most prominent emotions in my eyes. there are many different reasons why people get angry. i am usually a very happy, laid-back person.. tonight this was not the case. there is one person who has always managed to make me angry whenever he sets his mind to it. i had the pleasure of seeing him this evening and things quickly turned sour. we started off fine talking like normal people then managed to get into a sensitive subject.. im not gonna get into details, but this made me so angry i felt like crying. way to top off a long day of work and school
